Having spent the last 10 years working in recruitment and finance, Leah Earl recently turned her back on the corporate world in order to focus all her time and energy turning a life long passion into a viable business. The result? LeahEarlDesigns - A one stop shop for all things bright'n'beautiful, all pieces great'n'small and all things wise'n'wonderful, Leah Earl designs them all...

Depite no advanced training in either jewellery or fashion design, a quick browser through these pages will immediately reveal a rare and obvious talent. 'Course Leah's family have known this all along cause they've been the lucky recipients of her designs on birthdays and at Christmas! In fact Leah's first ever client was her own mummy! Aged only 12 Leah designed and made up some earings for her birthday and mummy is still wearing those earings to this day.

Asked where Leah finds her inspirations for her designs:

For my boutique pieces, I am inspired by anything and everything! Before I moved to London, I spent my childhood in Sussex, watching my Mother making our clothes or altering a clients Chanel suit and living in the countryside I have always been inspired by nature and the environment. It's the smallest things I notice the most: the colours of dragonfly or butterfly wings. Or leaves changing from Summer greens to Autumn reds. Or the changing colours of the sea: stormy battle ship greys to bright turquoises and aqua marines. I'm also a total fashion junky and like to think my designs can compliment any style from vintage 1920's through retro 1950's and 60's to the acieeed bright colours of the 80's and 90's!

For the D-I-Y range, my only inspiration is my client. As these pieces are always bespoke and completely made to order, they do take longer to produce but i'm only ever creating what my clients want, rather than what I want for my clients. These unique pieces might be something as simple as a necklace to match a new outfit or as involved as an entire wedding ensemble (hair, necklace, earings, bracelets etc...) But the motivation and inspiration for me is always the same...
